Fancy taking part in the country's biggest nature survey?

All you have to do is find an hour to watch the birds in your garden during the weekend January 29th-31st. You can sit inside with a mug of hot chocolate and count the birds who visit. Then you send the numbers in to the RSPB here.

We'd love to see any photos you take, and hear about any really unusual birds you spot!

  • Headteacher Message - Christmas 2020

Fri 18 Dec 2020 Julie Smith

    Dear Parent/Carer,

Here we are at the end of 2020 and I would just like to congratulate your children on the resilience they have shown this year, and throughout an incredibly long term.   Please do visit the class pages to see what they have been up to, the website really gives you an insight into the day to day school.  The children have kept working, not complaining and adapted so well to such a lot of change and disruption.

Throughout the year we have learned new ways to connect remotely, explored new ways of structuring the school day, introduced the words - bubble, quarantine, self-isolation into our vocabulary and above all recognised that when we love one another and be kind, we can grow and learn together in all circumstances.

Our classes have put together some Christmas delights over the last few weeks, so grab a mince pie and enjoy.

Thank you all for your support over this year.   We are delighted that our Federation has continued to grow in strength and are excited about the opportunities 2021 will hold.

Both schools will be going for ArtsMark over the year and we look forward to sharing more about that adventure during 2021.  Criftins will celebrate its 90th year of serving the community in August so watch out for news and events.  We hope to open our doors to all our families once again when it is safe to do so.   We start next term with the value COURAGE and we hope you are able to embrace new challenges with us.

Take care, have a blessed Christmas, stay safe and love the ones you are with!

    Mandy

  • A gift from the Mothers' Union

    Wed 02 Dec 2020 M.Jones
We are so blessed that the ladies from the Mothers' Union have thought of our lovely school during the strangest of years.  They have given the school a financial gift to benefit the well-being of all.   We have decided to put the money into some very special Collective Worship boxes which will be something for the children to use to pause and pray.  We have invested in a wide range of music to welcome us all into school each day.   We hope these gifts will continue to benefit many children for the years to come.   Thank you Mothers Union.
  • Virtual Celebration

    Fri 27 Nov 2020 M.Jones
Wow, are so grateful for technology during this difficult period.   Having a celebration across our federation is such a high point.   Being able to hear about all the wonderful achievements across the classes is a positive reminder that children are growing and developing in a brilliant way.   We love to celebrate the whole person! Academic progress, presentation, social skills and brilliant values all make up todays achievements. Have a look on the class pages to see who we are celebrating each week.
