What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
Our first Inter-House competition was held with all children from Year 3 to Year 6 competing for House points in one of the most popular of sports in school.
The winners were England with 30 points, Wales 24, Scotland 22, and Ireland 20.
Our Year 6 Sports Leaders have been elected by the KS2 children - congratulations!
To celebrate National Fitness Day the children will all be taking part in physical activities throughout the day!
Pupils are getting excited following a visit from Artist, Kate Raggett. The plan is for Kate, to design Mandalas (geometric shapes which are usually circular) on our school field, with the aim of the project being completed next summer. The Mandalas are created using sheep wool as the outline and then coloured bottle tops are added in. This will then be photographed using aerial drone photography !
Please help by saving any bottle tops, plastic or metal and bring them into school each Friday so we can start collecting. I will arrange for some of our Year 6 Pupils to collect bottle tops before Celebration Assembly if you are able to bring them in then. Kate has suggested we will need around 20,000 bottle tops. So let's get collecting !
Our first competition of the school year resulted in 4th place for Criftins 2 in the trophy final and first place in the Certificate final for Criftins 1.
A great start for 2023/24!
