Criftins Church of England Primary School

St Matthew's Church

Messy Church Sunday 20th October, 2024.

Thank you to all those families who braved the cold and wet weather to join with us for food, drinks and crafts. The sun soon came out and with it a BBQ, crafts including bird feeders, making apple crumble, fire pit bread and Harvest banners.

Messy Church is a gathering of families and our local school community. The emphasis is always on crafts and food all at no cost other than a donation if you wish.

I hope to see you there at our next st Matthew’s Church gathering.

Messy Church BBQ - July 2024.

What a wonderful gathering today of our local school community to celebrate with a BBQ and games at St. Matthews Church. Thank you to the team involved in setting this event up, hosting and providing fun for the whole family.

Sunday 19th May, 2024.

Another wonderful gathering of our families and community to worship and understand about Pentecost. With crafts, food and drink and Reverend Gareth leading prayer. What a wonderful way to spend a few hours on a Sunday.

Good Friday - Messy Church 2024.

Gathering together as a community creates connection. St. Matthew’s Church welcomed and opened its doors on Good Friday. With crafts and activities  food and drink and time together. Together a cross was then carried along the lane and placed near Hill Park where a special Holy Service was carried out. Beautiful moments together to remember the sacrifice Jesus made.

Easter Service and Easter Gardens.

Today was a very special day as we performed our Easter Service and displayed our beautiful Easter Gardens. Thankyou to all our wonderful parents and pupils for working so hard creating your models. We are also very grateful to our PTA who helped to move all the models to St. Matthew's Church.

TGI Messy Church

As we begin the countdown towards Easter the local community gathered in February for Reverend Gareth's first Messy Church Sunday. This was great fun as we gathered for Craft making, food to eat and a service to remind us of Lent. Thank you to all those involved.
