Our Computing Curriculum is where pupils are taught the principles of information technology and computation, they learn how digital systems work and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. Through a well planned curriculum, pupils are equipped to use information technology to develop computing expertise. Computing ensures that pupils become digitally literate and are able to use, express themselves and develop their ideas. We believe, it is essential that our pupils develop computing skills for now and for the future workplace so they become active participants in a digital world.
This year, we have adopted the teachcomputing.org curriculum. Teach computing is a STEM initiative and the curriculum is designed to enable computing to be taught in an effective and engaging way. It uses evidence-informed, high-quality support and includes fantastic resources and sequences.
