The final day! A busy morning to end our trip; we started with our last breakfast here at Min y Don, then we packed our bags and headed out in our waterproofs to do orienteering. Lunch in the living room soon followed and then it was time to get on the bus and head back to school.
Goodbye Min y Don, until next time! ❤️
Day four- Our last full day here at Min Y Don! Crate stacking, high ropes, canoeing and a treasure hunt! It’s been so lovely to see the children become more independent and resilient throughout the week. We enjoyed a hearty roast dinner and the biggest slice of chocolate cake for our final dinner, before heading out for a game of Haggis!
Day three - Another jam packed day of adventures! Archery, crate climbing, bushcraft and canoeing today, followed by a treasure hunt and Min Y Don Agents around the grounds. Great problem solving and a lot of fun! In the epilogue this evening, we were reminded of the qualities of a good friend.
Can you spot the little mouse we found hiding in the tree trunk during bushcraft?
Day two- a cooked breakfast to start the day and lunch prep. Great to see the children making their own sandwiches but some of the sandwich filling combinations were definitely questionable! Then it was straight outside for three different activities. Facing fears, challenging ourselves and getting braver each time! We ended the night with a game of sardines around the site followed by epilogue and hot chocolate.
Day one- After arriving to sunshine and blue skies, we soon settled in, got stuck into the first activity of the day (archery and zip lining) and ate dinner together in the dining room. We finished our first night with an evening game outside (head torches needed!), epilogue and a hot chocolate. We will all sleep well tonight!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
