What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
We had an amazing start to our Cross Country league competitions with 21 children from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 running at the Marches School at the first event and 24 competed at the 2nd event!
Our weekly lunch time football clubs have begun with the Year 5 and 6 boys taking part on Wednesdays and the Years 3 and 4 boys and girls taking part alongside the Year 5 and 6 girls on Fridays.
Every moment is a teaching moment in our school. The snack shack team has been having their allergen training this morning. Love growing the team!
I had such a lovely time with our children this morning talking about school life. We learn so much from the views of our children. We talked about all our subjects and how to get help when we are stuck. We had lots of giggles too!
Our Year 5 and 6 girls' 6 aside football team competed at Oswestry School yesterday finishing in =2nd place and due to 1 goal difference their final placing was 3rd. A great first outing playing as a new team!
Today we joined together as a whole school to value our school, locality but also to take time out for reflection and prayer. As a Church School our time together to worship and pray is very important. After meeting together the whole school walked around our school locality and community searching for prayers that had been specially placed.
Look on our Journey Day page for more information.
We had a great first competition for this year with one team finishing in first place in the trophy final and the other team finishing in 3rd in the Certificate final.
We are delighted to celebrate this pupil who has aimed high over the summer and is now the youngest pupil in our Federation to complete the Maths Whizz programme. He has worked diligently and it has had a huge impact on his Maths ability. We absolutely love it when our children are driven to work hard because effort brings progress in everything we do in life. This pupil has started Year 5 in style and has many positive learning habits formed! Well done.
