  • Reading Surprise for All

    Fri 06 Oct 2017
Today saw the beginnings of a new chapter in the story of Criftins. A special volunteer project co ordinated by Mark Sobczak has led to the construction of a special Literacy Shed. This outdoor space has been designed and constructed into the shape of a reading book. Imagine the excitement that a space such as this creates. Pupils watched throughout the day as our hard working volunteers put together the model. A huge thank you to the team inlvolved which includes members of SP Energy Networks, Neary, O.T.L. Electrical Services, A. E. Yates Group and Fairhurst. All of the volunteers provided materials, time, labour and huge amounts of skill and effort as part of International Volunteering Day.

  • Congratulations Mr. Hynes

Mon 25 Sep 2017 Julie Smith

A BIG Congratulations to one of our super parents - John Hynes (Charlotte's Dad).

Mr. Hynes took part in the Velo 100 mile cycle race in the midlands this weekend to help raise money for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

The race played host to 15,000 cyclists who took on the unforgettable 100 mile journey on completely closed roads at the inaugural Vélo Birmingham. The stunning route took the riders through the picturesque Worcestershire and Staffordshire countryside before returning to Birmingham.
Mr. Hynes raised an incredible £1,000 for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham which supports patients and families, including wounded UK military personnel and children with cancer.

    WELL DONE FROM US!

  • Lichfield Diocese

    Wed 20 Sep 2017 M.Jones
For those of you new to our school you may underestimate just how far and wide the Diocese of Lichfield reaches. We are part of the 2nd largest Diocese in the country and we like our children to be aware of the fact that Lichfield Cathedral is the central area from which our schools were set up. I visited there today with lots of other Headteachers and if you ever get the chance you should go and visit this spectacular building. It certainly has the wow factor. It is also great to know that the church cares about our school and its future.
  • Refreshing!

    Wed 20 Sep 2017 M.Jones
Welcome back to a new school year. I am delighted to be Headteacher of such a dynamic, exciting, happy school.  We are also pleased that our school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.  But  on training today I saw the slide attached and just had to share. We do need to meet Ofsted standards but everyday we work to motivate and challenge our pupils because we believe in them and we want them to excel! Thank you to everyone who supports our school, we are very excited about 2017/18 and the challenges that are ahead as we develop as a Federated school. So come on let's do it every day for the children.
  • British Summertime

    Sat 22 Jul 2017 M.Jones
We sent the children off on their summer holidays in style with a visit from the ice cream man 🙂. The wind was howling and the rain was overhead so it felt like real British Summertime .  Happy holidays everyone!
