What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
Class 1 have been able to create a wonderful new place to play all thanks to TG in Ellesmere who very kindly donated the wood for this new feature in Class 1.
Mr. Gruar was then commissioned to construct the wonderful new feature in Class 1. Many thanks indeed. Â
It is the kindness of our wonderful community that helps our little school grow, thrive and be a happy place learn.Â
We all want the very best for our children. Â We want them to follow their dreams and be the best they can be. Â We know that each of our children are unique and their contribution to the world is unique. Â
Â
Today we welcomed 14 volunteers to come and share their chosen career with the children. Â We had our very own careers fair with the help of our parents, grandparents and friends. Â Â The atmosphere in the hall was special. Â The children were able to interact with all of our visitors and were free to ask questions. Â
Â
The children were were motivated and inspired by the morning and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to those who gave up the morning to come and share with us.Â
The children's work is complete from this term and has now been published. Â This is a fabulous publication - Well done all who attended writing club this term and to Mrs. Long for all her hard work and commitment!

KS1 had a brilliant afternoon playing in an inter house Dodgeball Tournament with our new set of Dodgeballs. Â It was an hour and a half of fast and furious competition in the school hall with everyone playing for house points to go towards the Spring term total.
Â
The results were a tie for first place between Ruby and Emerald with 70 points each, third was Diamond with 60 points and 4th with 40 points was Sapphire.

KS1 Indoor Athletics
Â
We ran our annual indoor athletics as usual this year. We had 2 teams from Welshampton, 2 from Cockshutt and we put 2 teams forward from Criftins too. It was a great afternoon of friendly competition involving field events; speed bounce, long jump, target throw, javelin and ball throw followed by the track events with a variety of individual and team running races.
The results were close;
1st place Criftins Lions
2nd place Cockshutt 1
3rd place Welshampton 1
4th place Criftins Tigers
5th place Cockshutt 2
6th place Welshampton 2
Thanks also go to our Year 5 and 6 junior leaders whose help during the afternoon was very much appreciated.
Â
Well done to everybody!
