  • Winner of the Chester University Wildlife Photography competition

Tue 07 Mar 2023 Kate Long

Here are some photos of the prize-giving day, where one of our Y4 students was presented with a nestbox for coming second in the competition. It was a fun day and Iolo Williams in particular gave a very inspiring talk. There will be another competition in May.

Our student's picture was of a Mopane worm. She took it on holiday in South Africa- at her granny and grampa’s house out on the nature reserve.

  • Visit to the Flaxmill

    Thu 02 Mar 2023

We had a wonderful time with a few of our Y5 pupils today testing out the new Museum at the Flaxmill and Maltings in Shrewsbury.   We always enjoy working with our heritage partners and this has been a brilliant experience. Teachers can plan but it takes a child to shine a light on the excitement of a new idea.

  • KS1 Indoor Athletics

    Wed 01 Mar 2023 S.Palmer

A great result for our team this morning finishing in 1st place in our inter school athletics competition against 4 other schools.  A big thank you to our Year 6 leaders who helped to run the event - we had lots of fantastic comments from members of staff of visiting schools!

  • Be a courageous advocate

    Fri 17 Feb 2023

We have raised £165.61 with a non-uniform day and cookie sale to send to the disaster appeal for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake. Our year four and five pupils spent sometime thinking about how we can be a courageous advocate and stand up for those who need our help. Have a look at the posters for some super ideas.

  • Criftins Den

Tue 14 Feb 2023 Peter Jones

Today we opened up school for our young entrepreneurs who have been working on ways to set up, market and run their own business. All of our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were involved in selling products to the rest of the school. It was a huge success and great fun. Thank you also to all those adults, parents and our wonderful PTA for helping and supporting.

  • First place for our KS1 Gymnastics!

  • Mental Health Week

Wed 08 Feb 2023 Healthy Mind

    Now and Beyond.

This week the whole school is spending time finding out more about Mental Health. Together we watched a LIVE performance and back in class developed our understanding through a range of tasks.

  • Internet Safety Day

Tue 07 Feb 2023 Keep Safe Online

    National Internet Safety Day

Today we gathered in the hall to focus on ways in which we can use the Internet , but also remain safe whilst online.
