What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊

  • My STAR of the last few weeks!

    Fri 05 Jun 2020 M.Jones

Our value for this term is perseverance.  This value has been demonstrated consistently over the last two months by this young man.  He has worked with his mum to complete the couch to 5k, and today, they did the final run of the programme round the school lanes.

He has shown how to work through all the highs and lows of an idea and see it through to the end.  He has also completed a range of other challenges in addition to this to work towards buying a device to support his learning.  The best feeling of joy comes from when it is well earned - enjoy the moment my star of the week.  My next question  is what will be your next challenge?

  • J K Rowling would like you to illustrate her new story!

Fri 29 May 2020 Kate Long

How exciting is this! J K Rowling is in the middle of writing a brand new children's adventure story. She's publishing new chapters every day and she'd like YOU to send her illustrations to go with it. Also, it's a competition and the best pictures will be published! But even if you don't win, Rowling is tweeting and commenting on the best entries she's receiving. (If you want to check that out, you'll have to ask an adult to show you.)

You can read Rowling's new story, and see the competition details here.

  • Thank you to the team for organising school to start our phased return

    Fri 29 May 2020 M.Jones

In these challenging times, school is a very different place. We have worked hard to ensure the school has had a full deep clean, classrooms are stripped back, tables are 2 metres apart (which is hard to accommodate even in our large hall), each classroom has a hand washing station, class groups are organised into bubbles so that there is no cross over of children.

We will be taking one day at a time, please ensure you are using the correct entrance for arrival and pick up. Our lovely staff will be there to greet you.   The layout and the fabric of the school may have changed but our caring, energetic, hardworking team are just as committed to doing the best for each and everyone of you as ever.

If you are key worker families please can you remember to email and book your children in so that we have an up to date register.

  • Star work of the week

    Fri 29 May 2020 M.Jones

Well done to all our children and families for providing the best experiences during this difficult time. Have a look through the photos to see if your work features this week. It is wonderful to see so many children do some ‘real life tasks’ at home too.   My favourite is hoovering the car 🚙.

Well done to class 2 as you are at the top of the leader board this week for progressions and usage.  You are working really hard - keep it up!
