What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
Both our girls and boys teams qualified for the final at Ellesmere College, competing against 6 other schools from North Shropshire. Displaying all the Schools Games values, the girls finished in 3rd place and the boys took 4th which is a credit to the teams competing against much larger schools. Three members were also awarded medals for individually displaying 3 of the values; determination, self-belief and respect.
Huge congratulations to you all!
Each week our Picture News Team share current news and Worldwide topics to the whole school. Developing an understanding of global news is important. They use the resources provided and always demonstrate such confidence when presenting.
This afternoon was all about girls playing football. Each class in turn had time outside on the field practicing skills, control, kicking and dribbling. Such a wonderful way to promote active lifestyles and the love of football. A huge thankyou to Mr Jones for making this event happen.
We welcomed our local PCSOs to school to meet with children to talk about keeping safe. It’s important also to understand about how our local PCSOs are here to support school and help with local community events. Our two PCSOs have already confirmed they will be on site during Futures Week in May. Thank-you for joining with us today.
Today our Rotakids met with Jenny from Ellesmere Rotary Club to organise the next stages of the Easter Disco. This event will be to raise money for The Salvation Army and is scheduled for both Class 3 and Class 4 pupils. Our Rotakids today were presented with a special Rotarian Badge.
Today during Celebration our PTA members shared with each class, wonderful gifts bought for play time use.
The PTA have kindly blessed Class 2 with a bag of goodies for our classroom and outdoor space! We are so thankful and had a great time opening it up to all these wonderful things.
Thank you again so much.
We all gathered together in the hall together to share our World Book Day costumes with our peers and to remind ourselves of the plans that we had for the day to celebrate books.
Wow today was amazing as book characters arrived in school. Dressing up and having fun is so important and when it captivates imagination and promotes a love of reading, it is so worthwhile. A huge thankyou to all our families for making today so memorable.
