What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
This week we welcomed Reverend Gareth to share with us stories from the Bible. It was fascinating joining together to be able to hear of the story of Jesus and how he was resurrected. Reverend Gareth brings such humour, warmth and knowledge to help us to understand more about Christianity.
Today we welcomed Jane to talk and entertain us whilst also developing our Christian Value of Creativity. Jane brings Collective Worship to life through stories, prayer , pictures and puppets. What a great way to develop understanding and creativity.
We are so proud of our Izzy! Izzy has, for the second time, donated her long hair to the Little Princess Trust. This wonderful charity provides wigs for children who are sick and have lost their own hair. It is a hugely kind and generous act to cut off your hair to help others. What a superstar!
It was wonderful today to join with the Smith family as part of their wonderful charity event a walk around Colemere to raise funds for Dogs Trust.
Family, friends, parents and pupils gathered on Saturday 6th April @11am as part of Ava's project to raise money as part of both Ellesemere Rotary Club and Dogs Trust.
It is wonderful to see how one idea, by one person can truly make a huge difference. Mrs Smith shared with me today the excitement and enthusiasm that had been displayed by her daughter Ava and also the wonderful support by the Dogs Trust Charity who supplied dog bandanas, stickers and pin badges. To date a staggering £600+ has been raised. Thank you to all those who attended today and also supported this worthy charity. If you would like to donate please follow the link below

Wonderful work, wonderful effort and wonderful Doo-good-ery.
It was wonderful to meet with our families and local community ar St. Matthew’s Church. With crafts, drinks, food and activities there was something for everyone to do. Perhaps the most poignant event was walking together along the lane and carrying a large cross. The cross was then placed at Hill Park where we gathered for our Holy Service. Thank you to all those who attended and made today a special event.
The gardens were wonderful and showed such levels of creativity and care. All entrants received a small prize and a mention, and several children had a special mention. Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to Wales for being the winning house this term! This morning they have been on their House Point Treat to the British Ironworks and completed the Extinction Trail. They have seen superheroes, animals, minions, transformers and many more different amazing sculptures! They had a great time despite the rain ☔️
Congratulations to our KS1 gymnastics team who brought back the trophy for the 3rd year running! Our 8 children from Years 1 and 2 competed against 11 schools to win having performed a floor and a bench routine which they had all learnt.
It was wonderful today to see our first Easter Garden Models being brought into school. On Friday we will be awarding prizes and all models will be taken to St. Matthew’s Church to be put on display over the Easter Holidays. Look at our wonderful collection now as the week has progressed. May I say a huge thank you for all your support in helping to make this a worthwhile and special Easter Community project.
