  • D Day 80

    Thu 06 Jun 2024

We marked the 80th anniversary of D-Day with a special service in the hall, where we learnt about the events of D Day and lit candles to remember the fallen. Following the service, all of the children completed a piece of work about D Day and we have displayed it in the entrance to the school hall. Some beautiful, poignant work produced. Well done to everyone involved!

  • North Shropshire Big Sing

    Thu 06 Jun 2024

We’ve had a brilliant day at The Holroyd Theatre at Moreton Hall School. We were taught songs by two men from ‘John’s Boys’ (a male voice choir who were on Britain’s Got Talent last year). Towards the end of the day, we performed the songs to an audience. What a wonderful experience!

  • Sports for Champions

    Fri 24 May 2024 S Palmer

We will be welcoming a Paralympic or Olympic athlete into school on the 9th July.  They will deliver an engaging powerpoint presentation discussing challenges on the road to success: resilience, nutrition and diet followed by fitness challenges for all the children.
Your child will be given a sponsor form today: 60% of money raised will be kept by school and 40% goes towards the unsponsored professional athletes who sometimes struggle with training costs .
Sports For Champions are a government audited, not for profit organisation that is voluntarily registered with the Fundraising Regulator.
    Thank you for you support!

  • A Very Special Visit

    Tue 21 May 2024 K. Long

We were honoured to have a visit from the Lieutenant of Shropshire who came to say an official thank you to the school, and especially our Y6, for performing so beautifully in front of HRH Princess Anne. We are so proud of those students.

  • Calling All Young Authors

    Mon 20 May 2024 K. Long

    Dear parents and carers,

Our school has registered with the National Young Authors’ portal this year. Your child can use the site to write and submit a book, which parents and carers could purchase for £12 per copy. The deadline for submissions is 16th June. This might be something your child would like to do at home over half term.

Participating students also have the chance to receive awards and certificates for their published books.

To facilitate the writing process, the organisers, BriBooks, will provide students with access to their AI-assisted platform and a bank of illustrations to use.

If you are interested, please click on the link below to register before 7th June.
