What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
We joined 200 girls for the This Girl Can event at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall organised by Energize.
The girls had the wonderful opportunity to take part in Squash, Boxing, Cricket, Netball and Archery.
Our Year 3 and 4 mixed football team attended the tournament which was held at Oswestry School.
The team won all their matches without conceding a goal to win the tournament.
It is wonderful to share with you the huge generosity of families who have gifted food for the Ellesmere Food Bank. Every item of food or supplies will help to support families in need. Your support will make a huge difference.
A great first cross country run this week with our 7 team members taking part. They did a great job competing against about 200 children from local schools.
Every morning we begin our school day by being Active. We have all sorts of activities across school including dance, dodgeball and teaching children how to safely ride a bike. Great fun and a great way to start the day!
Our first coaching session for Padel has started today for Classes 3 and 4. The children have enjoyed their first lesson finding out about the sport and learning basic racket techniques.
Padel is the fastest growing sport in Europe and it is a great opportunity for our children to experience. We are also offering an after school club for Years 4, 5 and 6.
Our Year 6 Kurling team were runners up today at the Marches inter-school competition, competing against 10 other schools. They won every match, narrowly losing the final one against Whittington School by 2 games to 1.
Great result for our first competition of the 2025/26!
Elections are in and we have our 2025/26 sports leaders! They will be the pupil voice in helping to make decisions regarding playground equipment, clubs, and will be helping to set up and lead lunchtime activities, as well as assisting in any sports events held at Criftins. No doubt they will do us proud.
