• VE Day ‘80’ Preparations

  Today we made a great start on our VE Day celebrations by beginning work on a giant Union Jack made from bottle tops. Each class came out onto the field to help carefully place the tops in the correct position. Time-consuming, but lots of fun!

   

  We are still in need of more bottle tops, so if you have any red, blue, or white, please do bring them in this week. Thank you!

  Come and celebrate with us! It’s a community event and everyone is welcome, so please help spread the word. We are looking forward to you joining us at 2pm. Please enter via the school gates and don't forget change/cash to buy a piece of cake and a cup of tea!

  As a reminder, we’ve invited children to come dressed in 1940s-style clothing. Please don’t worry if you can’t find anything specific—a shirt, polo top and trousers or a dress/skirt and top will be absolutely fine.
