Today was the beginning of such an exciting week and it started with a bang! We welcomed Louis Gray and he shared his football journey with the pupils. We completed some physical activities and took part in a Q & A. Questions included who the best footballer he’s played against or with, which team was his favourite and many more. He spoke about not giving up and how there will be bumps in the road of any career but perseverance is key. He definitely gave us some Monday morning energy!
This afternoon saw Classes 1 and 2 having a session with Paramedic Andrew and Nurse Kelly who shared all manner of key facts about their careers. They also ensured that the children left the session with some super important first aid facts as well as the numbers to call for an ambulance in the UK, Europe and the US. The children loved volunteering to have bandages put on or to have their arms put in a sling. Finally, Class 2 had the opportunity to ask questions and practice using some of their kit.
Additionally, Class 3 walked to St.Matthews Church this afternoon where they met with Reverend Gareth who shared lots of key information about his role in the Church.
