Spring Term 2026

Forest School this week brought plenty of adventure, from tyre fun to a marshy walk to look for frog spawn. The children spotted lots and learnt all about the frog life cycle along the way.

World Book Day 2026 - BBC Live lesson, a book character potato competition and a community reading and hot chocolate afternoon.

The end of our art unit means it’s gallery time! The children backed their own work ready for the display. They thought carefully about the colour and size of backing paper.

We’ve arrived at the beautiful Min Y Don site. Let the adventures begin!

Our MP, Helen Morgan, visited us today. The children in class 4 asked some fabulous questions to find out more about her role.

Forest School Nature Walk - identifying buds and trees

Mr Michael Jenkins, Head of Drama at Moreton Hall visited us this week. He delivered a wonderful Shakespeare drama workshop. We acted out the first scene of ‘The Tempest’. It was great fun!

Testing properties of different materials in Science today.

The Picture News team led worship today. Each week different Year 6 children take a turn, building confidence and practising public speaking. This week’s focus was on Jane Goodall and her amazing legacy.
