RE: What is sin and why did Jesus die on the cross? We wrote all the bad things that man had done and then all of the good deeds that Jesus did to try to show man how to live. We talked about how Jesus died for the sins of man.

Design and Technology: Exploring and comparing puppets. We talked about the different joining techniques such as glue, sewing, using zips etc.

PSHE: Endorphins and mental health. We were given the name of someone in the class and we wrote positive comments about them. Everyone shared the comments with the rest of the class. This cheered everyone up.

Provision activities

Science: Investigating whether materials are waterproof. Which material would be best to make an umbrella?

Outdoor provision in the Spring sunshine ☀️

Art: Using mixed media (black and white) to sketch Tudor Buildings. We used 2B pencils, biros, pastels, chalk, handwriting pens etc...

Outdoor provision and Geography

Science: Investigating the suitability of materials. Are the buildings waterproof?

History: Baking bread with Be Happy Cakes! We put on our Thomas Farriner hats to bake like he did in 1666 (but with less fire!)

Art: Examples of the artwork that we are using to help develop our own style

Art: Experimenting with a variety of strokes and styles on the page using black, white, yellow, red or orange. We are developing our ability to recreate flame and having the freedom to make mistakes.

Art: Warm up- Listening to different music genres and seeing the impact it has on our lines, swirls, dots and other movements on the page.

Picture Book Study- Courage Everyday: The story discussed having butterflies when doing something new so we wrote our worries in a butterfly and talked about how we can overcome them.

Children’s Mental Health Week- We have drawn our emotions, taken part in Cosmic Yoga, made feelings trackers and created our own worry monsters.
