Remembrance 2025 - Class 4 opened today’s Remembrance service, sharing why we remember and reading the names of the 31 men from Criftins who left for war and sadly never returned.

Remembrance Day preparations. Each child from Nursery to Year 6 made their own poppy lantern. Mrs Cavell worked with Class 4 to make poppy bunting. It looked fantastic.

Anti-Bullying Week - Wearing odd socks to celebrate our uniqueness! The theme this year is Power for Good- using our voices to speak up.

Celebrating Black History Month

October is a huge national celebration of Black Culture. Class 3 and 4 joined together with Picture News for a live presentation of celebrating and finding out about famous black people and traditions around the world. Black History Month is a widely celebrated and acknowledged time of the year where people come together to recognise and appreciate Black people's contributions to society.

Earth in Space

In Science, Class 4 are finding out about the amazing Solar System through our topic. This week pupils imagined they were each a planet completing an orbit around the sun.

This pupil brought in these wonderful local mining artefacts to share with us all. They were used by his family members when they worked at Ifton colliery. The first one is a gas lamp and the second is a siren.

New team, new rota! Snack Shack is OPEN!

DT Step 1- Research. Researching different types of pizza on the market. We tried 7 different toppings!

Why was coal so important? First historical enquiry of the term. Look at how well they’ve done!

This term, we are studying the work of artist; Martin Bulinya, a Kenyan artist. Some wonderful artist study pages completed today.
