What has been happening in school? Have a read 😊
It is wonderful to get outdoors. We managed to stay dry today as we completed out sponsored walk around our lovely school. It is amazing to think that for 90 years children and families have been walking to school in our special community.
Thank you to all our sponsors for your generous donations, all monies will be donated towards an outdoor reading shelter for the children, accessible to all.
Finally, thank you to Mrs Phillips for designing the route for us, the children were pleased to see her.
Congratulations to these four designers. Amazing logo designs to help raise awareness of how to develop positive mental health. Prizes will be coming your way.
Pupil voice is really important in our school. This week we went through the school SEF (Self Evaluation Form) which we share with governors and added the opinions of our Ambassadors. We have a list of actions after thinking about all of the areas of our school, and we are going to make the election of Ambassadors even more formal by allowing pupils from other year groups to vote for each other. Watch our for the summer vote!
The Arts Council have been busy evaluating where we are up to with our Artsmark Statement of Commitment. We have also planned the events for the remainder of the school year. There is always something to do even on the last day of the half term.
Our Y6 children had an afternoon training for the KS1 athletics competition which we will be hosting after half term. They will be running the stations, scoring and timing for the afternoon when we will be inviting other schools in to join us.
Wow! What a great afternoon we had playing dodgeball today - an action packed, nail biting event with our team finishing in 3rd place after such a close finish. The children played brilliantly and thoroughly enjoyed the event.
Years 3,4,5 and 6 have enjoyed an afternoon of tennis with Henry from Baschurch Tennis Club playing a selection of games and activities.
