What a special treat! We learnt all about this Austin Seven from 1934. We were also given the opportunity to sit inside.

We had an exciting day as we brought History alive with the visit of a pre-war car. Studying the past helps us to understand about change, it helps us to see how things have developed. Today we saw close up a 1934 Austin Seven Box Saloon. Imagine how a car of almost 90 years ago was used by families. Roads were quiet and car ownership was only for the affluent few. The best bit of today was sitting in the car and imagining we were off on a trip down memory Lane.

Y3 and 4 had an exciting talk about fire safety!

Our trip to Llangollen. What a special day! A ride on a horse drawn canal boat, lots of singing, lunch on the Christmas barge and free ice cream! All of the children behaved beautifully. What a fantastic way to end the week!

Singing about socks!

Remembrance Day 2021 - We made lanterns and came together for a special service to remember those who died for our freedom. It was very moving.

Ending the day with class worship. A special time together to reflect. ✝️

This morning, we visited Cockshutt school for a live music performance by Shropshire Music and to have lunch together. What a lovely morning!

Picture book study - number 2. Every three weeks, we spend the week focusing on a picture book. This week, it was Ruby’s Worry by Tom Percival. A beautiful story to explore and lots of opportunities for circle time. We also created our own worry monsters!

Today, we went on a trip to St Matthew’s church for a mock baptism. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to understand the process and see the font in real life.

We were working on our letter formation this morning using ‘kinetic letters’. We were focusing on the ‘jumper family’ letters. Have a look at the posters below- you might want to have a go at home!

Spending time in the ‘Pause and Pray’ area - a quiet and calm space to reflect. ❤️

Harvest Festival with Mrs Jones and Reverend Andrew. A special time together to reflect and be thankful.

Music with Mr Kitcher is always great fun! We’ve been learning all about about pitch over the past few weeks.
