Thank you so much to the PTA for organising this special treat for us on the last day of term.

School’s out for summer! Celebrating a truly brilliant year with this wonderful bunch!

Look what arrived in the post today!! We did it! We are Blue Peter Climate Heroes and have all been awarded a Blue Peter badge! All of our hard work paid off. 💚

Final Chick Update: It was our last day with our six chicks. They have left Class 3 for life on a farm and we know that they are in very safe hands. 😊 Have a look at the photos from today, they are changing so much each day!

Chick Update.... The hatching is complete. Six of the seven eggs we had in the incubator successfully hatched, which is brilliant. Take a look at them below, all less than a few days old! They are being looked after very well in the classroom- plenty of warmth, food, water and of course, cuddles!

Expressing creativity in History! The children were given the tools, resources and a brief of 10 words. Then it was up to them to showcase their learning from the term! Lots of fun, lots of learning and lots of amazing team work.

EGGciting news in Class 3- we are hatching eggs! 🐣 If the incubation period is successful, then we will hopefully have some chicks in 21 days. We will keep you all updated!

This week, we have been exploring a picture book called ‘Journey’ by Aaron Becker. A story of wonder, mystery and adventure! Take a look at some the wonderful work we have completed. If you would like to explore this book, click on the link below. 😊

Today, we submitted our application for a Blue Peter Green badge. The final challenge was to create a piece of art work. Class 3 worked together to plan, organise and create this wonderful piece! Amazing team work and final result. ❤️

We all completed three pledges in a bid to become Blue Peter Climate Heroes and receive Blue Peter badges. There were three different pledges; power, plastics and plants and we did these every day for 2 weeks. Evidence below. 😊

Our RSHE focus this term is ‘Looking after our world’. Therefore, we decided to take part in the Blue Peter Climate Heroes challenge. We have each chosen a plastics, power and plants pledge to complete for 2 weeks. These were the different options.

This week, we have been learning all about asexual reproduction in plants. Today, we took cuttings from geraniums. If we are successful, roots will develop and we will grow some new geranium plants!

This morning, Emily spoke on BBC Radio Shropshire about the work her and Rhian have been doing in Brownies. The girls have been busy making blankets for the homeless out of crisp packets. Warm and waterproof! Well done girls, you are both an inspiration to us all. Thank you for making a difference!

A wonderful presentation from a police officer about personal safety. Lots of great tips and information on how to stay safe. Thank you Maria from West Mercia Police.

Times Table Fridays.... A weekly highlight for Class 3! The pupils have all made incredible progress this year with times table recall and should be extremely of their efforts.

Mrs Jones set a challenge to see which class could complete the most progressions in Maths Whizz over a week. Class 3 worked incredibly hard and won the federation challenge! Today, we celebrated with hot chocolate and golden time! ☕️

Planting Sunflowers! 🌻 Who will grow the tallest sunflower? The challenge is on!

A question and answer session with Mr Kitcher! We learnt so much about different types of instruments, different types of music and also, Mr Kitcher’s music experience.

Discoveries on the way to school! This blackbird egg shell prompted a great discussion in our life cycles lesson.

Bikeability for Year 5! An exciting couple of days learning key skills. All pupils were awarded with a certificate and a badge. Brilliant work team!

We took independent reading outside today! Bliss!

Our first lesson with our new music teacher - Mr Kitcher. This term, we are using drumming cups. Great fun!

This Class 3 pupil recently received a Blue Peter badge for a letter he sent in. We are proud of his efforts and enjoyed hearing about the process. Well done!
