Criftins Church of England Primary School

Parent Governors

Louise Reeves - Parent Governor

Term of office ending 1st October, 2017

"I feel privileged to be a Parent Governor at Criftins School. I am passionate about supporting and improving the school. We all want the very best for our children, and as a Mum of three girls, I have a huge interest in ensuring the success of the school, and that the quality of education is of the highest possible standard. I have worked in Human Resources in Local Government for almost 16 years, and my current role is in Human Resources Strategy and Policy. I have built up lots of skills throughout my career, and many of these are transferable to my Governor role. I feel really proud to say I am a Governor at Criftins School and look forward to continuing to support the school as it moves from strength to strength".

John Hynes - Parent Governor

Elected 8th February, 2016

"I have lived in Criftins since 2007 with my wife Sandra and our daughter Charlotte who attends the school. I wanted to become a governor to contribute something to the school and community and to build on the great work already being done. I work for a Kent-based company as Head of Safe Access, supplying working at height solutions for buildings. This is a field area I have specialised in for more than 15 years. I often work from home as the commute is somewhat long! I enjoy sports including cycling and football and I am a member of Criftins Tennis Club"

Sally Harris - Parent Governor

Elected 24th October, 2016

"My name is Sally Harris, many of you may know me as 'Anna and Emily's mum'. Like any other parent /carer, I want the best education possible for my children, and I want to help support the school and the staff to provide the best learning environment for them and all the children at the school.

I have been impressed by Criftins ever since Anna started reception and I feel honoured to have been elected as a Parent Governor. With its friendly, vibrant, inspiring environment, together with its outstanding standards and high expectations of the children, I can't imagine my girls attending any other primary school.

My professional background is within education and design. For 8 years I taught young adults with learning difficulties and / or disabilities at a local college. My role has since changed to Marketing Designer for the college. When not at work or rallying around being a mum, I like to cycle, swim and do arty crafty things."
